Obscure Roxanne battle records fortnight part 9

January 26th, 2008 · 3 Comments

A triple threat of so-called Roxanne family members are the subject of today’s post. According to these records, Roxanne has a sister, a brother or brothers, and parents. Straight nuclear to the death! D.W. and the Party Crew had a few joints on Party Crew records, including the pretty expensive ‘Freaky Lover’ cut. Roxy here takes shots at Sparky D and does pretty well. Crush Groove is the second Edwin Birdsong produced, Singh records released Roxanne tune in our series so far. It’s a nice late electro rocker, with plenty of slithery cuts and scratches. It takes a few minutes for the vocals to come in, but once they do this confirms itself as one of Fat Lace’s fave Roxanne answers. Last but not least, Florida legend Gigolo Tony has his say, with Lacey Lace playing the good wife and mother of Roxanne. As is usual, most of the track is a point-by-point rebuttal of lyrics from UTFO. Still, what are families for?

I think that’s a good idea. I could put you in touch with him.
