We’re glad some rappers have retired. Seriously, we’re not trying to hear a MC Rell and the Houserockers comeback in 2009, no matter how underrated we feel his album is. We didn’t think we’d be welcoming back The Chubbster either, but this is actually nice – he even drops in a Milton Bradley reference for the first time since… name that song, nerds. He’s working on an LP with Baltimore (insert gratuitous ‘The Wire’ reference here) MC Wordsmith called ‘Bridging The Gap’ and there’ll be a mixtape called ‘A Crack in the Bridge’ dropping soon too. Chubb, it’s good to have you back – do we get Rob Swinga and Hot Diggity Dog too?

Lush beat. Chubb is nice. Good femme hook. Really could’ve done without this MC Wordsmith guy, though. MC Wordsmith? Jesus.
I remember when Return Of The Crooklyn Dodgers dropped i was, like, ‘is Chubb Rock still rapping’ and i thought he’d be an embarrassment but he only went and killed Jeru and OC with the best verse of his career.
